Key Responsibilities:
- Manage all aspects of accounting, receivable and payable function for two legal entities Prestone US and Prestone Canada.
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the accounting department.
- Oversee month-end and year-end closing process and ensure that the information is compliant with GAAP. Annual audit support in conjunction with Canadian parent.
- Supervise a team of accounting professionals, providing guidance, support and accountability.
- Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, including monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Develop and enforce accounting and operational policies and procedures and internal controls to maximize workflows, financial integrity, compliance and protection of company assets.
- Monitor and analyze financial performance, identifying areas for improvement and cost-saving opportunities.
- Participation in the annual budgeting and forecasting process and provide financial analysis for decision-making.
- Participate in the development and implementation of ERP systems and other accounting software.
- Stay updated on industry trends and changes in accounting regulations.
- With the support of the payable team, manage Concur and Medius (AP software).
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field, CPA a plus.
- 5+ years of experience in a manager-level role
- Strong knowledge and experience in manufacturing industry.
- Proficiency in financial reporting and analysis.
- Ability to deliver quality work on tight deadlines, with strong organization and priority setting skills.
- Excellent leadership and management skills.
- Advanced knowledge of accounting principles and regulations.
- Ability to develop and implement accounting policies and procedures.
- Experience with ERP systems and accounting software. JDE and/or D365 a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Experience with Concur and Medius (or similar AP automation software)
Job Type:
Full-time, Monday-Friday; The role is primarily in office (M, W, Th) with work from home flexibility 2 day/week (Tu, Fri).
